Olivier Sarr Out at Least 6 Weeks With Partially Torn Wrist Ligament
The Trail Blazers' two-way center will miss more time.
The Trail Blazers announced on Friday afternoon that center Olivier Sarr, who signed a two-way contract last week, will be re-evaluated in six weeks after further testing confirmed a "high-grade partial tear of the scapholunate ligament in his right wrist." Sarr suffered the injury during the Blazers' Oct. 11 preseason loss to the Warriors.
Before the injury, Sarr figured to compete for backup center minutes following a strong preseason. On Thursday, the Blazers officially announced the previously reported signing of center John Butler Jr. to their other two-way contract spot.
