The idea of Ja Morant in Portland wasn't remotely on anyone's radar and frankly would have seemed ridiculous if someone suggested it.
Not only had the Fire not played a game yet, they didn't have any players to speak of due to the ongoing WNBA CBA talks delaying the expansion draft and free agency.
