📍PORTLAND, Ore. — Scoot Henderson knew he was back late in the third quarter of the Trail Blazers' 135-115 blowout win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday.

With the Blazers leading comfortably after yet another slow start, Henderson drove baseline, blew past two Grizzlies defenders and exploded for a one-handed dunk. The left hamstring he tore in a pickup game the week before training camp started was clearly fine.

"When I banged it, I was like, 'OK,'" Henderson said.

He wouldn't even fully admit to enjoying that highlight, though.

"That was 'Eh,'" he said. "I'm just ready to keep it rolling."

The Blazers needed this win badly coming off a six-game losing streak, and the extremely shorthanded Grizzlies were the perfect opponent for a get-right game.

But they also needed Henderson back, and in his season debut, he showed why.
