Trail Blazers Announce Preseason Schedule
Portland's four-game exhibition slate is headlined by a game against the Clippers in Seattle.
The Trail Blazers have unveiled their four-game preseason schedule to take place in mid-October ahead of the start of the regular season.
It kicks off, for the second time in three years, with a game in Seattle against the Clippers under the banner of “Rain City Showcase.” There’s a Pokemon tie-in this year, too, I guess.
The schedule also includes an international friendly against the German team Ratiopharm Ulm.
It’s worth noting that the Blazers will more than likely be without head coach Chauncey Billups for the second preseason game on Sacramento. In April, Billups was officially elected to the Naismith Hall of Fame’s 2024 class, and the induction ceremony in Springfield is set for Oct. 13. Billups will almost definitely be flying straight from Seattle to Massachusetts, with one of his assistants serving as acting head coach for that game against the Kings.
Here is the Blazers’ full preseason schedule. The NBA’s regular-season schedule is set to be announced in mid-August.
Friday, Oct. 11: at L.A. Clippers (7 p.m., Climate Pledge Arena, Seattle)
Sunday, Oct. 13: at Sacramento (3 p.m., Golden 1 Center)
Wednesday, Oct. 16: vs. Ratiopharm Ulm (7 p.m., Moda Center)
Friday, Oct. 18: vs. Utah (7 p.m., Moda Center)
