Billups’ extension still confuses me. He has shown little improvement in his game management skills. The positives seem limited to the bare minimum: mentoring, team buy-in on both ends of the floor, and incremental development of young players. Do you think the extension was more of an endorsement of Chauncey (“He brings the best out of the players”) or an indictment of the team (“We don’t believe another coach could do better with this roster”)?
