Yang Hansen 'Right Where a Rook Should Be At' in First NBA Training Camp
Yang has been impressing teammates with his feel and playmaking in his first week with the Trail Blazers.
📍TUALATIN, Ore. — Much has been made of the language and cultural barriers that have come with Yang Hansen's adjustment to America and to the NBA.
But in his first week of training camp with the Trail Blazers, practices have been different than the ones he was used to the past two seasons with the Qingdao Eagles.
"Everything here is more focused on details," Yang said Thursday through his translator, Chris Liu.
All week, head coach Chauncey Billups and other players have been raving about Yang's feel and the speed with which he's been picking up concepts, even though there are still growing pains.
