📍PORTLAND, Ore. — The Fire's first win of their expansion season earlier this month introduced them to Portland in epic fashion.

Their latest win, a 100-82 rout of the Indiana Fever on Saturday night, introduced them to the rest of the world.

If you live outside of Portland and are into the WNBA, you may have heard a little bit about this team. You may have been fed a few highlights from their first five wins, including two over the New York Liberty. You may have seen some discourse about the makeup of their roster. You may have read about head coach Alex Sarama's unconventional practice methods and approach to player development. You may have heard the Fire referred to as "surprisingly competitive for an expansion team" and "a fun League Pass team" by the sickos.

That was as much as most people knew about the Portland Fire until Saturday.

Blowing out the Fever in a primetime matchup and rendering Caitlin Clark a complete non-factor on national television?

That will get some people's attention.
