The trade deadline has passed, and the All-Star break approaches.
The Trail Blazers have three games left before the break, two at home and one on the road, and snapped a six-game losing streak this weekend with back-to-back wins over a tanking Grizzlies team.
I will be in Los Angeles next weekend for the All-Star festivities, where the Blazers have three representatives: Donovan Clingan and Yang Hansen in the Rising Stars game, and Deni Avdija in the All-Star game.
Another reminder that becoming a paid subscriber helps fund this travel and much more that I have planned for the rest of the season.
❌ Sunday: vs. Cleveland Cavaliers (L, 130-111)
❌ Tuesday: vs. Phoenix Suns (L, 130-125)
✅ Friday: vs. Memphis Grizzlies (W, 135-115)
✅ Saturday: vs. Memphis Grizzlies (W, 122-115)

It was an eventful week for the Blazers, even if not much happened at Thursday's trade deadline. Last weekend's trade for Vít Krejčí turned out to be the only thing they did before the deadline. I didn't expect them to do a lot and wrote as much in this very column a week ago.
But the lack of trade activity wasn't really the headline of the week. That would be the season debut of Scoot Henderson, finally.
