Tonight, the Trail Blazers open their 2025-26 season at home against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
As we have done for the last several years, now for the first time on my new Trail Blazers Insider podcast on Rip City Radio 620, Erik García Gundersen and I each made five predictions for the upcoming season.

The start of the season is also a good opportunity to remind those of you who are not paid subscribers that now is as good an opportunity as any to get on board. The vast majority of my work on here is paywalled, because I put a lot of time and work into it and it's how I earn a living. The money from your paid subscriptions also goes back into the work. I will be doing more travel to road games this year than I have in the past, starting this weekend with the Blazers' first road trip of the season facing the Clippers, Lakers and Jazz. I will be at all three games, as well as a good amount more later in the year. That travel isn't cheap, but I do it because being around the team as much as possible is the way to bring you the best coverage you'll find anywhere.
